The Steps of Installing a Sewer Liner
Sewer liners are essentially a new pipe within an existing pipe. They are made from a flexible material, typically fiberglass or polyester, which is impregnated with resin. The liner is then inserted into the damaged pipe and cured in place, creating a strong and durable seal.
The process of installing sewer liners involves several steps:
Inspection: The first step is to inspect the damaged pipe using a camera to determine the extent of the damage and identify any blockages or debris that need to be cleared.
Cleaning: The pipe is then cleaned using a high-pressure water jet to remove any debris or buildup and ensure a
smooth surface for the liner to adhere to.
Insertion: The liner is inserted into the pipe and inflated.Using air or water pressure to conform to the shape of the
pipe.
Curing: The resin in the liner is then cured using heat or UV light, creating a hard, durable pipe within the existing
pipe.
Inspection: Once the liner is cured, another camera inspection is done to ensure proper installation and a seamless
seal.
